Maths at the KC Stadium

A group of Year 7’s from Thomas Ferens Academy are getting to grips with ‘real life’ maths.

15 students are attending the centre for 2 hours every Monday to see how the maths they learn in school is used in everyday life.

So far the students have completed maths problems in the club shops, built on their knowledge of maths and maths vocabulary around the stadium, in the changing rooms, hospitality suites, media areas and around the pitch.  They have also monitored their own heart rates during different activities, using these to complete different maths activities.
