Literacy

Run With It focus on functional English skills through the application of literacy, the skill to produce clear, structured written work and speaking and listening skills including listening and questioning.

Those participating will learn to understand that communication skills are essential to participating fully as a member of society. Run With It pay special attention to increasing confidence in the following areas:

  • Speaking & Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing

Maths

We also help young people to focus on their functional math skills. The children will gain an understanding of why mathematics is necessary for financial literacy and most forms of employment.

Pupils will also learn how to apply the following to every day life:

  • Manipulation of numbers
  • General mathematical awareness
  • Application in practical contexts (e.g. measuring, weighing, estimating and applying formulae).
